Welcome to MSD WEB, the online portfolio of Michael de Gruchy.

With 15+ years experience in analysis, design, development & implementation of applications, the results have led to successful collaboration with numerous cross-functional teams and strategic partners. This includes architecting high-quality software solutions in a timely manner, in addition to actively participating in functional/business requirement meetings.

On a more personal level, I establish myself as an effective team contributor with the ability to work independently as required. I highly value presenting myself in a professional manner. Prime examples include a positive attitude towards problem solving, showcasing exceptional office skills, developing a trustworthy reputation among co-workers and clients, and maintaining a sense of detailed organization within my work.

I am a proud SUNY Farmingdale graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Computers & Information Systems. I’ve also continually taken the initiative to enroll myself in various certification courses and training workshops with intentions to enhance my career and sustain growth in my field. The roles and tasks I’ve been responsible for throughout my entire career outline the diversity of projects and languages I’ve been accustomed to.

Sony Music Publishing - SCORE (link)
The SCORE website for Sony Music Publishing. I was part of a development team who created this songwriter portal, using AWS technology. This involved ETL scripts to provide data for the analytic team in Tableau, via Redshift.
Stella Grooming (link)
Completely designed and developed a local dog grooming business' website. My work combined object-oriented PHP, jQuery/AJAX, and special customized plug-ins for the calendar and Instagram feed sections.
Bruce Springsteen (link)
Bruce Springsteen's Official Website, re-launched in March 2012 to coincide with his "Wrecking Ball" album. In addition to database entry, I helped design and develop this Wordpress website using PHP, jQuery and HTML5.
MSD Web (link)
My online portfolio was co-developed with Jen McKeon. The site mainly utilizes jQuery libraries, PHP 5 and MySQL into its infrastructure. All images and front-end design work was assembled in Adobe Photoshop.
